parent education for leagues, clubs, and associations
Youth sports trains everyone except parents
We spend thousands of dollars every year helping players improve and coaches develop their craft, yet we rarely invest in helping parents navigate the youth sports journey.
The ironic part is most parents want that help. They want to support their kids well. They want to create a healthy experience around sports. They've just never been taught how.
Healthy Sports Parenting was created to fill that gap.

Meet Your Parents' New Coach
Hi. I'm Jonathan.
I'm a dad, youth coach, podcast host, and the creator of Healthy Sports Parents, a platform helping families use sports to raise great humans.
Over the last several years, I've had conversations with Olympians, Hall of Famers, professional athletes, sports psychologists, college coaches, and parents from all over the country about what actually helps kids thrive in sports long-term.
What I've learned is that most parents want to do right by their kids. They want to support them, encourage them, and help them grow through sports. They've just never been taught how.
That's where I come in.
Healthy Sports Parenting is designed to help parents navigate the pressure, emotions, and challenges that come with youth sports so coaches can focus on coaching kids and families can enjoy the journey a little more.
I look forward to coaching your parents this season.

We Never Want Cost To Be The Reason A Family Misses Out
One of our long-term goals is to build a scholarship fund through corporate partners so cost never becomes a barrier to healthy sports parenting.
Until then, if your team, club, league, or organization believes in this mission but the pricing doesn't fit your budget, we'd still love to have a conversation.
Let's see if we can find a way to work together.

How long do parents have access?
Organizations receive access to Healthy Sports Parenting for one calendar year from the date of purchase. During that time, parents can access all course materials, downloadable resources, and season-long encouragement emails.
Many organizations use the course with new families throughout the year or reintroduce it at the beginning of each season to help reinforce a healthy sports culture across their program.
How do you protect parent data?
This is one of our most important values. Protecting family information is extremely important to us. Parent information is used solely for course delivery and communication related to Healthy Sports Parenting. We never sell, share, or distribute personal information to third parties.
What sports does this work for?
Healthy Sports Parenting is built around principles, not sport-specific tactics. The course works across every sport and every competition level, from recreational leagues and school teams to academies and elite travel programs.
How much time does this require from parents?
Each module is approximately 5-6 minutes long and can be completed through video, audio, or written formats. The course is designed for busy parents and fits easily into a family's schedule while providing support throughout the season. They can complete it all at once or at their own pace whenever it's convenient.
What if parents don't participate?
Like any resource, the parents who engage will benefit the most. Our goal is to make participation as easy as possible through short lessons, multiple learning formats, downloadable resources, and season-long encouragement.
While we can't force parents to engage with the content, some clubs choose to encourage or require completion as part of their parent education efforts. For organizations that want it, we can track module completion and provide participation data so you can see how families are engaging with the course.
Can individual teams purchase the course?
Yes. Individual teams can enroll their families without requiring their entire club or organization to participate.
What if our organization can't afford the listed pricing?
While we've worked hard to keep pricing accessible, we never want cost to be the reason a family misses out. If pricing is a challenge, we'd still love to have a conversation. Reach out through our scholarship and partnership request form and let's see if we can find a way to work together.
Ready to give your families the support they deserve?

We are here to provide the guidance those parents wish they'd received when their kids first signed up.
Let us coach your parents so you can spend more time coaching your athletes.

Brett Carroll
"Healthy Sports Parents has become a trusted resource for families navigating the youth sports journey. Jonathan has created a platform that provides valuable insight for parents seeking to guide their most prized possessions—their children—through the challenges and opportunities of youth athletics.
Healthy Sports Parents brings transparency and balance to these discussions, helping families approach youth sports in a healthy and positive way.
How families invest their time, energy, and resources can have a lasting impact on their children. Our kids matter, sports matter, and Healthy Sports Parents continues to shine a light on a path that puts young athletes first."

Dr. Joey Case
"Healthy Sports Parents is a vital platform that fills a void that exists within youth sports and coaching education. They provide practical tools for raising confident, resilient, and well-rounded children within the context of sport participation and encourages parents, coaches, and communities to prioritize personal growth, emotional wellbeing, and family connections over scores, stats, recruiting rankings, and championships.
This course can be an impactful resource for all coaches, parents, and organizations to raise great humans through sport!"

Bobby Muuss
"Working with Jonathan has been incredibly valuable. His approach is centered around helping parents create an environment where kids can enjoy sports, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for competition and growth. He understands that success isn't just about wins and losses—it's about helping young athletes become resilient, motivated, and fulfilled people.
Jonathan genuinely cares about families and wants to help parents support their children in a healthy, positive way. I highly recommend Healthy Sports Parents to any family looking to make youth sports a more enjoyable and meaningful experience for both parents and athletes."

Stacey Nuveman-Deniz
"I've been around sports at every level as a player, coach, and now a mom.
Jonathan's approach to youth sports reflects the same principles I've seen lead to long-term success in Olympians, college athletes, and kids who simply grow up loving sports. He understands that sports are most powerful when they help kids build resilience, confidence, and a genuine love of the game.
I strongly recommend his work to any parent raising a child in sports."

Dr. Jenna Wallace
"As a child psychologist, former Division 1 athlete, and mom of three young athletes, I have reflected a lot on the changes in the youth sports industry. At the ballpark and on the courts, I see kids who want to be kids AND competitors. Sometimes parenting young athletes is a battle, especially in an ever changing landscape.
Jonathan’s work in this area is invaluable. I recommend his podcast and work to the families I work with in clinical practice and the parents of kids I coach. It will change the way you think about parenting, sports, and personal development."
